Fight For Your Dream

I know you are working on something. It may be a vision. A goal. A championship. A win. A dream. A relationship. Deep within our individuality lies an imaginary picture of what we desire to pursue in life.

However, at some point in our lives, we become fully aware that it is not easy. It is not easy to fight back when we are losing. It is not easy to stand up when everything in our lives are falling. It is not easy to stick and believe our dream amidst failures, setbacks, and disappointments.

It is not easy.

Do you remember when you were a kid? You were in-game with life. You were courageously exploring new things. You always wanted to go out, take adventures, and live a little dangerous. When we were kids, our dreams are soaring. We wanted to become a pilot, an architect, a fashion model, even become president.

But now, what happened? Why are we still stuck in a monotonous job we hate, can’t save a penny, staying in a toxic relationship, living below our means, failing over and over again in life? Why most people are unsatisfied, unhappy, and just go with the normal flow of life?

Time spitted our face a reality. A reality that fortune are not available to everyone but only for the few who persevere, commit, and fight.

The fulfilment of men’s purpose and dream requires blood, sweat, and tears. It requires us to willingly unveil the hidden beauty from failures, hardships, and setbacks. Even when the universe is continuously presenting us the seemingly-insurmountable obstacles, it demands us to not give up from our “WHY”.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. -Langston Hughes

Fight for your dream.

For doing it, we are able to experience the beauty of life. Life is not about solely living on happiness nor sadness but being open and comfortable with both of them. We may hurt, bleed, and cry. It may put us to our knees, even keep us there permanently. But behind those experiences is a wisdom that cannot ever be replaced.

Fight for your dream.

For doing it, we are able to experience fulfilment. In the end of the day, what will provide us satisfaction is not that we have achieved or accomplished something, but knowing we offered our best efforts to every minute that we had and followed our heart’s voices because we believe that failure is better than not trying at all.

Fight for your dream.

Remember, if fortune, success, or fulfilment of a dream is easy, then every one on this planet would have achieved it.

You have a hidden desire to pursue what you truly want in life. Take heart and do not overthink about if you are going to make it or not. Just do it not for the sake of getting to the end point but because you know your heart’s desire.

The truth is, in the end when we are on our death bed, we can either be crippled by the “What Ifs” (What if I did my best?, What if I did pursue my dream?, What if I did say to her that I love her?) or feel satisfied because we have done our best shots while we were living.

Fight for it, my friend.
