Our minds are exceptional for its strong desire to achieve perfection. It is inhuman and we are wired naturally in that way. We are constantly searching for something better, for something perfect, and for something more efficient.
We want our craft and art to be perfect. We want our blogs and writings to be flawless. We want our business to be thoroughly planned to not fail.
We want everything to be “perfect”.
Nothing detrimental can be found in desiring to pursue excellence. But there is harm when it becomes the reason of “inaction”.
Because you see, most people are trapped with the idea of “someday”.
Someday when I achieve this and that, I will be happy. Someday when I have the time, I will start working out. Someday when I have the big capital, I will start executing my business plan. Someday when I have the savings, I will start investing.
Well, guess what?
That “someday” never, ever, came.
Inaction kicks in when you want everything to be in a perfect place, in a perfect situation, and in a perfect time.
Going back, there was a moment when I wanted every article to be the best I can write. I wanted to produce the best content ever and wanted every aspect of the blog to be perfect. I became perfectionist to the point that I could not produce even a single article. I had an analysis-paralysis. And it became a concern.
The truth is, we do not need to make everything perfect because no one else does, and no one will be. We do not need to know at first hand if it is going to work out or not.
Deep within you lies a subtle desire to do something. It may be a desire to start investing, or a desire to make your own blog site, or a desire to talk to a girl you have a crush on. Whatever it is,
start doing it now. Start working on achieving it.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Yes.
It may fail. Or it may turn out to be a complete mess.
But in the very least, you have moved your one foot forward. You’re already ahead among people who are still not doing anything, still stuck by “someday” in their heads.
And you know what’s fun? Putting your foot in front of the other will take you to new challenges, experiences, and learning.
And it is for you to find out what those are.
I related to your thoughts on having the perfect blog. When I started blogging regularly, 4 posts per week, I lost a little bit of that perfectionism because the post had a deadline.

Well most bloggers who are just starting always experience this. A question, how do you get your ideas or topic to be posted? Admittedly, I still have a bit of a struggle with it

Most of the times I’m inspired by the stuff going on in my life. For example, the other day I was having a bad day and I turned my experience into “3 Things You Can Learn From Having a Bad Day”. Other times I’m inspired by a book I’m reading, so that inspired a post called “Nourishing the Inner World”. I think since I want to keep the positive vibes on the blog, I also try to find silver linings in whatever topics I’m covering. Other times I’m inspired by a youtube video such as a video on minimalism that inspired the post called “3 Benefits of Minimalism”. If I’m completely honest, sometimes I don’t feel like writing for the blog, but knowing that I have that deadline of 4 post a week helps me choose the topics a bit quicker. I also approach the blog with posts that I would love to read, and that helps me choose topics that interest me or inspired me (I tend to write about writing, journaling, and gratitude because this are topics I love reading about). I hope this helps!

I’m curious about minimalism. I wrote a blog post about the benefits of it. I haven’t decided to full on become a minimalist though. But as time goes by I feel like the less material things I need that will make me happy because I’m aware that sometimes I just buy things or receive things that I never actually use. Are you a minimalist? I’ve only watched a few of his videos. Haven’t checked out his channel in a while 🙂

Good to know the minimalism is becoming more and more popular. As of now, I’m still learning about mnimalism tho I am also a fan of having less material things.
